For more than 30 years, Dr. Gitterle has helped advance specialty healthcare through leadership in wound management, hyperbaric medicine, vascular assessment, limb preservation, and clinical research. His experience spans the full continuum of care, allowing him to help hospitals build integrated clinical programs that improve outcomes while supporting physicians and care teams.

As Principal Investigator for WoundCentrics’ Clinical Research Division and a respected educator through Wound Care University, Dr. Gitterle remains committed to advancing medicine through research, education, and innovation—helping translate today’s discoveries into tomorrow’s standard of care.
