When an organization starts growing fast, the first thing to feel the strain is usually culture.

We experienced this firsthand at WoundCentrics. As we expanded, communication became heavier and teams began drifting into silos. Over time our turnover started to climb, which forced us to stop and ask a tough question. Had we built a foundation strong enough to support the pace of our own success? As Stuart puts it, “Growth exposes culture.” That moment pushed us to look closely at how we were operating and how we were showing up as leaders.

Stuart recently sat down with Heather Smith on the Talent Elevated podcast to talk about how we worked through that phase.

The shift wasn’t complicated, but it required consistency. We started treating culture like an operational priority instead of something that sits off to the side. Instead of posters or slogans, we focused on daily behavior and small habits that reinforce how we work together.

If you'd like to learn more about our journey to becoming a culture first organization, we invite you to listen to the podcast and find out for yourself!
