Baptist Health Wound Care Center at Corbin is solely dedicated to the treatment and healing of wounds that are not healing at a rate that is considered normal or as expected by your treating Provider (typically two weeks). This is often referred to as a chronic wound (i.e. a wound that is not healing despite normal medical intervention).  Our outpatient wound care clinic is staffed with doctors, providers, and nurses that have been extensively trained in wound care.

Our providers’ only job is to treat and heal your wounds. Our outpatient clinic also has an extensive array of specialty treatments that cannot be found at any other facility in the Corbin region.  Just as every patient is unique, so is every wound. At Baptist Health Wound Care Center at Corbin, we have the expertise to understand both the patient and the wound. We will develop a treatment plan specific to you and your wound. 

• You will undergo our initial wound evaluation process. This is where we gain an understanding of your current conditions, medications, and more, to form an individual treatment plan that works specifically for you and your wound.

• Healing your wound is our sole focus and most important goal. Just as every patient is unique, so is every wound. Baptist Health Wound Care Center at Corbin offers an extensive array of specialty treatments that can't be found at any other facility in the Corbin, KY area.

• We will maintain open communication with you every step of the way. You will be involved in your own healing process. If you were referred to our clinic by your doctor, we will work with their team to keep them informed of your progress at Baptist Health Wound Care Center at Corbin.

• We accept most major insurances. We know an affordable treatment plan is important to you. Check our list of accepted insurance providers.

We Practice

We identify and treat each of the factors contributing to the chronic wound and coordinate our treatment efforts with your referring physician, if applicable. Referrals are not required for you to become a patient at Baptist Health Wound Care Center at Corbin.

We employ a comprehensive approach to the evaluation of the chronic wound patient, and not simply to the wound itself. Therefore, it is important that the patient closely follows the physician’s instructions with respect to wound care, underlying health problems and lifestyle changes.
